Bacres Grain Transportation (“BGT,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an Ontario-based bulk agricultural and aggregate transportation company managed by Group Solum. • Name, email address, phone number, and farm or company name when you send us a message through the form on our contact page.
• Commodity type, pickup and delivery locations, and scheduling details when you ask about transportation.
• Employment-related information (resume, work history, certifications, driver’s licence details) when you apply for a position through our careers page.
• Any other information you choose to give us by email or phone.

b) Information collected automatically:

• IP address, browser type, operating system and device type.
• Pages visited, referring addresses, and the time and date of visits.

3. How We Collect Information

We collect information through the following means:

• Website form: the contact form on our contact page.
• Email and phone: when you correspond with us directly.
• Job applications: submitted through the careers page on this Site.
• Visit counts: automatically when you browse the Site (see Section 4).

4. Cookies and Third-Party Services

• We do not set cookies for analytics or advertising.
• We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits. It does not use cookies.
• Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser sends your IP address to Google.
• The map on our contact page is loaded from Google Maps. Google may set its own cookies when the map loads.
• You can control cookies through your browser settings.

5. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information for the following purposes:

• To respond to inquiries, provide quotes, and communicate about our transportation services.
• To schedule, coordinate, and fulfill transportation orders.

• To send job alerts, only if you tick the box on the application form: Group Solum Inc. emails you when new jobs open at its companies, and every email has a link to stop them.
• To improve our Site, content, and user experience.
• To count visits to the Site.
• To comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms & Conditions, or protect our rights and safety.

6. Sharing and Disclosure of Information

We may share your personal information with the following parties:

• Group Solum: our management company, which provides administrative, hiring, and operational support. Group Solum is bound by the same privacy obligations as BGT.
• Service providers: Vercel and Supabase, which host this Site and the Group Solum console where your messages and applications are stored, and our email providers, which process data on our behalf.
• Legal and regulatory authorities: when required by law, regulation, court order, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of BGT, our clients, or the public.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the successor entity.

We do not sell your personal information.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. Specifically:

• Messages sent through our website form: deleted from our console two years after they arrive. If a message leads to work with us, the records of that work are kept for up to 7 years for our accounts.
• Job application data: retained for up to 2 years, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
• Visit counts: kept by Vercel as totals that do not identify you.
• We periodically review and securely delete or anonymize data that is no longer needed.

8. Your Rights Under PIPEDA

Under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you have the right to:

• Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correction: request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Withdraw consent: withdraw your consent to the collection, use, or disclosure of your personal information, subject to legal or contractual restrictions. Withdrawal of consent may affect our ability to provide services to you.
• Complain: file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you believe your privacy rights have been violated.
